Alec Li

Managing Director

A passionate violinist from East Auckland, he holds a Bachelor of Music with First Class Honours in Violin Performance from The University of Auckland. Under the guidance of Andrew Beer and Elizabeth Holowell, he earned prestigious scholarships, including the Stanley Forbes Music Trust award and IRMTNZ Schubert and Lysaght awards.

Actively performing locally and internationally, Alec has participated in renowned music festivals and concerts. As a member of the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra since 2020, he has collaborated with notable conductors such as Giordano Bellincampi, James Feddeck, Gilbert Varga and Shi-Yeon Sung.

Alec is enthusiastic about teaching the violin, contributing to programmes like the NZ International Young Artist Festival and the APO Orchestral Summer School, where he shares his expertise and mentors talents of all ages.

Yookhui Ong

Violin & Harp Teacher

Yook Hui received her Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Music (Honours) in classical performance (violin) from the University of Auckland. She has also studied harp with Katryna Tan and Yi Jin.

Yook Hui has performed in various orchestras and ensembles in both New Zealand and Malaysia, including the Penang Symphony Orchestra, Penang Harpers, the University of Auckland School of Music Symphony Orchestra, and Te Anahera NZ Harp Ensemble.

A passionate teacher, Yook Hui looks forward to sharing her knowledge and her musical experiences with students of all ages. Yook Hui is fluent in both English and Chinese Mandarin.

Daly Li

Violin Teacher

Daly Li completed his Bachelor of Music (Honours) in studio pedagogy and Bachelor of Music in classical violin performance at the University of Auckland, under the tutelage of Elizabeth Holowell.

Daly is hugely passionate about orchestral and ensemble playing, having participated in the Academy of Strings, Manukau Youth Orchestra, Auckland Youth Orchestra, Manukau Symphony Orchestra and the University of Auckland School of Music Symphony Orchestra.

He has been teaching music for 12 years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that his students benefit from, many of whom have gone on to join some of the top youth orchestras.

Marian Lam

Piano Teacher

Marian holds an ATCL Performance Diploma from Trinity College London. Her passion for music began in early childhood when she started learning piano at the age of four. Over the years, she has accumulated extensive experience as a group class and individual piano teacher, a piano accompanist for children's choirs, and a church pianist for over a decade.

Marian is deeply committed to fostering a love for music in her students through engaging and innovative teaching methods. She aims to cultivate an appreciation and passion for music, believing it to be a universal language that brings joy, love, and peace, regardless of one's background or level of achievement.

Founded in 2023 and situated in East Auckland, New Zealand, our music school brings together a dedicated team of qualified and established music teachers with a wealth of experience and success in teaching and performing. Our flexible approach caters to the individual student’s needs, passions, and goals, and we develop specific lesson plans.

Our Music Academy is situated in Pakuranga, and our teachers can also travel to you.
